The people of Uyo Local
Government Area of Akwa Ibom State got thrilled as their son, a candidate of
the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prince Uduak P.S. Udo declared his
political ambition to represent them in the State House of Assembly and also to
inaugurate his grassroot mobilization team which will help to foster peaceful
co-ordination and success in the upcoming election in the state.
The event which took place at
Ikot Udoro Oku in Uyo was attended by people from all spheres of life.
At the occasion, Prince Uduak
Udo stated that his mission is to restore confidence in the lives of the
citizenry and to change the political phase in Uyo Constituency by impacting
positively on the lives of his people and the Akwa Ibom State at large. According
to him, “no good leader swims in affluence while his subjects die in starvation”.
He further advised his people to
always be on alert for change, since change is one of the few constants we have
in the world. While urging the people of Uyo to embrace change, he added that,
flexibility brings good reconstructuring in one’s life.
The APC candidate, Prince Udo
also described his political group as the home for the homeless, saying, “the Party
rationale is to bring positive change to every nooks and crannies of the
nation, give voice to the populace and restore sanity in Nigerian politics”.
Prince Udo expressed optimism
towards the kind gesture of his supporters for coming out massively to support
the struggle, praying that God who protects the plants from being overrun by
the weeds will protect them from all rancor, calling for their total support
and solidarity in the forth coming election.
The highpoint of the event was the
inauguration of the campaign team led by Mr. Ime Ben with leaders representing
different wards in Uyo Local Government area to kick-start the campaign.
